How our Career Coaching services could help you find your next passion

No two experiences of life are the same. Where one person might find satisfaction in a day spent plying their trade on the site of their latest build, another might find it in night shifts in the maternity ward, or in working the land to provide for their family. But what if, due to an unexpected illness or injury, you could no longer do what you’ve always done?

Financial support is important while on the road to recovery from illness or injury and getting back to the best possible version of yourself. However, the impact of being out of work goes beyond money alone and that’s why we take time to understand what you need to get back to work and to your best possible health - not only financially , but also mentally and physically. Sometimes you need a bit of extra help on your way to feeling healthy in every sense of the word, which is why we offer personalised Career Coaching services when you’re ready to return to the workforce.

For example, if you were no longer able to physically work as a labourer due to a back injury, Career Coaching could provide support to help you find an alternative role   suited to your experience . It could be as a teacher inspiring the next generation of builders, or finding work as a volunteer in an entirely new industry. There’s no shortage of options available to you in this new chapter of your life.

Life experiences at home, at work and at play are what give our days meaning - whether it’s a Saturday spent playing at the park with your kids or a night spent at home dreaming up a new business of your own. While we don’t always know what life has in store for us, that doesn’t mean that we can’t be prepared in the event that something unexpected prevents us from doing what we’ve always done, or what we want to do in the future.

When you are ready, we can work with you on a one-on-one basis to figure out what’s right for you. Whether you’re returning to the same job or exploring the potential for a new field of expertise, Career Coaching supports you while transitioning back to work. It can also provide you with a range of services to help you stay there. From interview practise, to job search support, introductions to prospective employers, and supporting you with access to practical training, Career Coaching can provide you with much-needed support as you take the next step. You’ll have one less thing to worry about so you can focus on getting back to the very best possible version of yourself.

At TAL, we’re proud to be there for our customers when they need it most. Whether it’s protecting you and your family’s financial future or providing you with the extra support you need at a difficult time, we’re ready to help.

Career Coaching is available to TAL customers who have income protection cover with TAL, who have submitted an income protection claim with TAL, and whose claim has been approved.
