Notice of assignment of life insurance claims liabilities of Integrity Life Australia Limited to TAL Life Limited

TAL Life Limited (TAL) gives notice that the Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority has granted its approval of the assignment of certain life insurance claims liabilities from Integrity Life Australia Limited (Integrity) to TAL. This has been done under s27A of the Life Insurance Act (1995) (Cth) (Assignment). 

The claims liabilities assigned to TAL relate to corporate group life insurance and salary continuation insurance policies issued by Integrity. 

The effective date of the Assignment is 2 April 2024.

Policy owners whose claims liabilities have been assigned do not need to do anything. On and from the effective date of the Assignment, any current or future claims under the life insurance policies referred to in this notice will be treated for all purposes as if their policies have been assigned to TAL so that:
• policy owners will be taken to have the same rights against TAL as they would have had against Integrity; and 
• TAL will have the same rights against policy owners as it would have had if it had been the original issuer of the policies.
